Austin McLean is the Director of Scholarly Communication and Dissertation Publishing for ProQuest, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He oversees staff that manages PhD dissertations and master’s theses publishing and products in all formats (digital, print, and microfilm). Austin also works in areas of scholarly communication and digital preservation at ProQuest. Austin is a frequent speaker at library conferences, having presented at ALA, ACURIL 2017, ETD 2016, and USETDA 2016. He serves at Treasurer of the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD), a non-profit group dedicated to sharing knowledge and best practices for Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs). Austin holds a Master’s Degree, Certificate in Telecommunications Economics Policy and Science from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s Degree from DePauw University.
