Eva Fisch

Eva has just been appointed to the newly created Manager, Research position at La Trobe University Library in Melbourne, Australia and is responsible for the delivery of research services and programs to contribute to achieving the University’s research goals. This position provides direction for the development of services and programs and manages, reviews and evaluates services to support research, including the provision of services, training, research data management and the collection and storage of University research data outputs.

Prior to this position, Eva had ten years’ experience as Collection Development Manager, responsible for establishing collection development principles and priorities in consultation with Library staff and clients.  In addition she is head of a team working on a project to digitise 3000 print only La Trobe University PhD theses.  These are to be added to La Trobe University Research Online to increase the visibility, exposure and access to La Trobe’s research, provide secure storage and preservation of La Trobe’s research output, facilitate collaboration within the research community, and attract future staff and students to the University.

Eva has a BA in Anthropology from Queens College, the City University of New York and Graduate Diploma of Librarianship from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
